Master Sergeant Dusty Lamborn was born in Cordell, OK and graduated from Hobart High School in 2001. He enlisted in the United States Army in June 2001 and completed OSUT at Fort Benning, GA. Master Sergeant Lamborn has served as a Team Leader, Squad Lead, and Operations NCO with 1-27 IN, 25th ID, Schofield Barracks, HI.
He trained Combat Advisors and Security Force Advise and Assist Teams as a part of 2-353 IN, Cundiff IN BDE Tiger Land, Fort Polk, LA. Master Sergeant Lamborn served as a Platoon Sergeant with 1st BN 3rd IN Regiment (The Old Guard) in Arlington, VA and with Ghost Troop 2nd BN, 2d Calvary Regiment, Rose Barracks, Germany. He also served 27 months as the First Sergeant for the Regimental Weapons Troop 2d Calvary Regiment. Master Sergeant Lamborn has completed three combat tours in Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation New Dawn.
Master Sergeant Lamborn’s military education includes Basic Leader’s Course, Advanced Leader’s Course, Senior Leader’s Course, Master Leader’s Course, Air Assault Course, the Army Basic Instructor’s Course, Battle Staff NCO’s Course, and Common Faculty Development Instructor Course (CFD-IC). He is currently pursuing his Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management.
Master Sergeant Lamborn’s awards include the Combat Infantry Badge, Expert Infantry Badge, Bronze Star, the Meritorious Service Medal (3 oak leaf clusters), the Army Commendation Medal (4 oak leaf clusters), the Army Achievement Medal (3 oak leaf clusters), the Good Conduct Medal (6th award), the National Defense Service Medal, the Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, and the Iraqi Campaign Medal (4 combat stars).
Master Sergeant Lamborn is married to Jackie Lamborn from Kapolei, HI and they have two children, Cayden and Declen.
